Adventure in Gerês

It all started with a sudden urge of mine to go for a walk in the mountains. As this was a healthy urge, strongly contrasting with my usual ones of eating chocolate or curling up in bed with a book, I thought it ought not to be ignored. So I started e-mailing people and the result was that four of us set out to Gerês on Saturday. It kept raining on and off but we decided to set off at a time when it wasn't and were glad we did, because although it started raining again the trees offered us some protection and the walk was definitely worth it.
